Hey! You asked for personal feedback a couple days ago but I have the attention span of a fucking rock, many apologies. I don't have much knowledge in dubstep (let alone color bass) unlike some of the other judges from this compo, so I can't say much. However, I'll still give it a try.
So, overall: great choice of sounds, this track really puts into evidence that you have experience in sound design which plays in favor for this track to sound engaging and fun and interesting. I've found myself almost dancing to all the bleep bloops instead of paying attention to the thing, so I ended up giving it a second and third listen... maybe a fourth, heh. Also, the song in general is very unique, well structured and very well produced. I really like when producers of this genre tend to jump
Now a few notes on two or three more specific things: at the beginning, the atmosphere feels "surrounding" and gives that sensation of a big space, and that buildup to the drop was so exciting it gave me the chills before headbanging with the drop. The use of granular synthesis was a very creative choice (and between us, I think more people should start using granular synthesis more, specially Reason users since their Grain Sample Manipulator is some top-notch shit)...
...and yeah it totally gave you more points in sound design lolol
I also found interesting the use of multiple drum kits across the track, because it makes it sound less repetitive and more abundant and special, I really liked that. The only thing that threw me off just a liiiiitle bit was the sudden end, which itself isn't a bad thing don't get me wrong I LOVE experimentation, but I think that last snare could've benefited from, at the very least just one or two seconds of that reverb (maybe just 0.5 secs is fine) before ending the track with a microscopical bit of silence so the listener can process the sudden conclusion, but this is just my own personal taste, I still liked how you ended it.
It's a bit sad to hear that you'll drop music, BUT it's also great that you'll focus on your art, because your art is amazing as well!! Godspeed, Half.
